Products That Drive Workflows

CoreX Products

What you sell should already define the work that follows. Most systems stop at the sale. CoreX Products carries that logic forward — pricing formulas, workflow stages, and team assignments — so your business knows exactly what happens next the moment an order arrives.

Formula-Based Pricing

Price Calculated

Build pricing directly into the product with formulas, volume tiers, segment rules, and size limits — so quotes are calculated consistently, not estimated manually.

Work Stages Per Product

Work Mapped

Build the post-sale workflow into the product itself. Each stage can carry role assignments, process steps, and linked resources so the work is already mapped before it begins.

Linked to the Right Team

Job Assigned

Connect products to the roles responsible for each stage, so when an order comes in, the right team members are already linked to the work without manual routing.

A product that carries the work definition inside it

Define the work inside the product. Stop rebuilding the same instructions for every order.

Pricing Logic Built Into the Product

Every CoreX Product carries its own pricing formula — defined by the dimensions, quantities, materials, and margins specific to how that product is actually produced. The logic lives inside the product, not in a separate spreadsheet or manual override.

  • Area-based, quantity-based, and linear pricing models
  • Volume tier discounts that adjust automatically at defined quantities
  • Customer segment pricing — different rates for different buyer types
  • Size restrictions with oversize surcharge handling
  • Minimum price floors with optional discount-discountable behavior
  • Psychological pricing strategies: charm, rounded, prestige, custom ending

Define the Work Stages Inside the Product

Each product in CoreXBiz can carry a sequence of work stages that describe how the job moves through your business. Stages can include a name, description, assigned role, estimated time, and links to required machinery and materials.

  • Add named work stages directly to any product definition
  • Assign a role or specific team member to each stage
  • Set estimated time and setup time per stage
  • Link required machinery to each stage
  • Link required materials to each stage
  • Stage data is accessible via REST API for integration and reporting

When the Order Comes In, the Work is Already Assigned

Products in CoreXBiz carry role and team member assignments for each work stage. When a customer places an order, the system reads the product's defined workflow and assigns the appropriate team member to that order item — without manual intervention.

  • Each product stage carries a role or specific worker assignment
  • On checkout, the system reads Stage 1 and assigns the right person to the order
  • Assignment is written directly to the order item record
  • Works with role-based assignment (all team members in a role) or direct worker assignment
  • Reduces manual coordination when orders arrive

Every Stage Linked to the Equipment It Needs

Each workflow stage in a CoreX Product can reference the specific machinery it requires. Equipment records track operational status, connection details, and maintenance history — so the link between your product definition and your production floor is built into the system.

  • Attach a machine to each workflow stage in the product definition
  • Equipment register tracks status: available, in-use, maintenance, or offline
  • Log maintenance events and view activity history per machine
  • Configure network, serial, and cloud connection details per machine
  • Run live connection tests directly from the admin
  • Machinery records connect to the Accounting module for asset tracking

Accurate Quotes, Every Combination

The formula engine treats price as a calculated outcome — not a number typed into a field. Define your cost structure once per product, and the system calculates accurate prices across every size, quantity, and customer type automatically. No spreadsheets, no manual re-quoting.

  • Multi-step formulas that match your actual cost structure
  • Oversize surcharges apply automatically at configured thresholds
  • Global margin settings applied consistently across all calculations
  • Minimum price floors prevent orders from pricing below cost
  • Batch calculation for quoting across multiple size/quantity combinations
  • Calculated price shown in real time on the product page

Products That Connect to the Rest of Your Business

CoreX Products does not operate in isolation. Your product definitions connect to other modules — pricing flows into the storefront, machinery connects to accounting, and product workflow data is accessible across the platform.

  • Price calculators link directly to storefront products for live pricing
  • Machinery records link to accounting for asset and lease tracking
  • Product stage data accessible via REST API for connected modules
  • The CoreXBiz Copilot assists with pricing formula setup and workflow stage configuration
  • Compatible with CoreXBiz Accounting, Team, and Analytics modules

What you sell → how it gets done

CoreX Products is built for businesses where a sale creates real work that has to be structured, assigned, and tracked — not just shipped from a shelf.

Print Shop

A print shop configures each print product with the production stages it requires: receiving the file, running the press, cutting, finishing. Each stage carries the role that handles it and the machine it runs on. When a customer orders a 24×36 poster, the pricing formula calculates the exact cost based on area, and the production team has the first-stage assignment before they check their inbox.

Custom Signage Business

A signage company sets up products that reflect their actual production flow: design approval, substrate preparation, large-format printing, lamination, installation. Pricing formulas account for material cost by square footage, with oversize surcharges applying automatically above standard print dimensions. New orders arrive with the right person already assigned to the opening stage.

Custom Fabricator

A fabrication shop handles orders for custom metalwork. Each product type carries the sequence of work it requires — cutting, forming, welding, finishing, quality check — along with the machinery involved in each step. Pricing accounts for material area and labor time. When an order comes in, the workflow definition is already attached to it.

Service Business

A service business sells service packages, not physical products. CoreX Products lets them define each service offering with the stages it involves — assessment, preparation, on-site work, sign-off — along with which role handles each step. Pricing can include setup time, labor rates, and minimums. The assigned technician is attached to the order item from the moment it's confirmed.

Photo Lab

A photo lab produces custom orders — canvas prints, mounted photos, framed prints. Each product carries a pricing formula based on print dimensions, surface type, and quantity. Volume tiers apply for orders over a threshold. Stage definitions cover printing, mounting or framing, quality check, and packaging — each with its own role assignment.

Assembly Business

A business that assembles custom products to order defines each product with its component stages: kitting, assembly, testing, packaging. Required materials are attached to each stage. The pricing formula accounts for component count, labor, and overhead margin. Orders arrive pre-structured — no manual staging or assignment step needed.

From product setup to operational execution — without manual handoffs

01

Define your product with operational depth

Create a product in CoreXBiz and go beyond name and price. Attach a pricing formula that reflects your actual cost structure — materials, area, labor, margins, and quantity tiers. Add workflow stages that describe each step of production or delivery, and assign the role or team member responsible for each one.

02

Link your equipment and resources

Attach the machinery and materials each stage requires. CoreXBiz maintains a full register of your equipment — with status tracking, connection configuration, and maintenance history. When a stage needs a machine, that connection is part of the product definition, not a separate note or email.

03

Sell it — the work is already structured

When a customer places an order, the system calculates the price from the formula, creates the order, and attaches the Stage 1 team assignment from the product's workflow definition to the order item. The team member responsible for the first stage is already assigned. No separate task creation or manual dispatch needed.
